EMPLOYEE STRESS

Employee stress could occur when the employee fail to meet his expectations in terms of personal goals, career goals, performance, self respect. It could also be caused by excessive workload, insufficient workload, peer pressure, excessive and unreasonable use of authority by the management, lack of proportional opportunities, nature of job, etc.

Ways to Effectively Tackle and Manage Employee Stress
(i)                 A deliberate approach to strengthen disciplinary culture rooted on shared norms of employees should be adopted.
(ii)               An effective grievance redresser system / mechanism should be instituted.
(iii)             Stress management strategies should be adopted in the organization.
